I have been teaching graduate-level courses in adult education since 2000. My current research interests include learning and development in marginalized populations including people living with chronic illness, older adults, and women. I enjoy conducting qualitative research and am an expert in transformative learning. My co-authored text, Learning in Adulthood: A Comprehensive Guide (3rd and 4th ed) won the Cyril O. Houle Award for Outstanding Literature in Adult Education from the American Association for Adult and Continuing Education. My co-edited text, Facilitating Adult Learning will be published in 2024 (Routledge). I am a librarian at heart and love looking for "just that right article" for literature reviews and empirical articles.
