Guided participant teams as they utilized design thinking and intercultural team building strategies to solve a problem from an industry partner. Led all sessions on emotional intelligence. Individually coached all program participants on interpersonal leadership skills development.OUTCOMES• Leadership Intensive was a three-year pilot project that, after only two iterations, was adopted by Health and Human Services on a permanent basis. It ran in September 2016 as a permanent program at Stanford.• Student evaluations from the first two years were extremely high (over 90% of participants indicated they would sign up again after having experienced it).• Assessment comparing application questions to post-program surveys demonstrated that learning outcomes had been met.• Several recommendations made by student teams were implemented by the industry partners that “hired” them (Revolution Foods, Centro Legal de la Raza, etc.).
