Process initial and reappointment applications, payer enrollment, maintain re-enrollment for DC Medicaid, verify hospital privileges/licenses, review CAQH applications, and complete other database projects as assigned. Assist physicians with licensing applications.

Support medical staff, track monthly life support certifications, conduct primary source verifications such as peer references, verify hospital affiliations, receive and process new practitioner applications for hospital privileges. Present new and current practitioner files to various committees, prepare a thorough verification of each practitioner’s background and verify proper certifications, write meeting minutes/agenda, interpret medical bylaws for use and editorial suggestion, support executive staff when needed, run monthly audit reports to ensure credentialing processes, listen and participate in monthly division calls, assist with call pay inquiries/processing, facilitate physician orientations/ completion of onboarding forms, and complete other duties as assigned. Contributions to the department have included implementation of an electronic orientation system and DocuSign to ease the office’s ability to obtain monthly required signatures. This process improvement has proven successful in the office’s productivity and received positive physician feedback. Periodically assist the Volunteer Director with applicant interviews, background checks, reference verifications, orientations, and monthly meetings/newsletters.Furloughed in 2020 due to COVID-19. I loved the company and my position but due to financial considerations and growth, I was unable to accept reduced hours. Amazing leadership team and great opportunities for learning.
