Day-to-day tasks involved with buying and product development in the denim department.Graduation thesis concerning the topic: "How can a margin conscious retail company such as CoolCat improve sustainability within the denim supply chain?"

The internship was executed in the Product Development departments of ST. studio and SuperTrash. This department translated the designs to technical packages to send out to suppliers. Samples from both the development and production phase were assessed on construction, workmanship, size and fit. After fittings the comments were made and send back to the supplier. Also the approval of lab dips, bulk fabrics and accessories were one of the main tasks in this department. Overview of tasks:- Assist product developers in daily tasks- Measuring garments- Fittings and making comments - Check care labels- Keep style plans up-to-date- Chase fabric suppliers and keep overview- Check lab dips - Check bulk fabrics- Contact with suppliers- Prepare (proto)meetings- Prepare collection meetings- Assist during photoshootsDuring the internship a research had to be executed. The main question for this research was "How can the return rate of online ordered products be reduced?" An advice report was developed with a combination of traditional and state of the art solutions.
