I have a broad transport planning background with a particular expertise in delivering sustainable mobility through designing and implementing travel behaviour change strategies and programmes that involve education, incentives and infrastructure interventions. Over the past 25 years I have advised local, regional and central government in the UK, Australia and the USA, as well as private sector clients across a broad spectrum of behaviour change studies. I have a track record in successfully delivering sustained levels of modal shift away from car. I joined Steer (formerly Steer Davies Gleave) in 1995 and led the travel behaviour change team from 2003 before leading the wider UK Planning business. From 2014 I led Steer's North American Planning business, working with clients to deliver behaviour change in Los Angeles, San Diego, the Bay area, Seattle and Washington DC. In 2020 I moved back to the UK, and took up a position at Heathrow Airport in the Surface Access team to support delivery of the ambitious surface access goals associated with the airport's expansion plans. I led the development and implementation of the Surface Access Strategy, providing passengers and colleagues with a better and more sustainable journey to the airport through improved connections and facilities and improved awareness of travel options.In September 2021 I returned to Steer, this time to the UK business, taking up the position of joint Head of UK Planning. In June 2022, I was appointed UK Managing Director and now lead colleagues across our Planning and Advisory businesses to ultimately help people, places and economies thrive.
