As a former dancer, poet, singer, and now a public art project designer, I sit on various boards as an arts advocate. I recently became an Arts Commissioner for Council Member Kate Harrison and have now been appointed Chair. I also sit on the boards of the Berkeley Cultural Trust, the University of CA Chancellor's Community Partnership Fund, VisitBerkeley.com, as well as others. On several of these, I am able to develop policy for the arts as well as make sure the arts are well-funded via thousands of dollars in grant money.
