Tenured Associate Professor and Director of the Center for Faculty Engagement at Texas A&M University-Central Texas. I lead faculty development initiatives focused on high-impact practices and teaching excellence - including our campus programs supporting The Texas A&M University System partnership with the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE) to scale instructional excellence for student success. I have completed the ACUE Advanced Certification in Effective College Teaching Practices. I have also completed the course on Inclusive Teaching for Equitable Learning/Fostering a Culture of Belonging, and am a facilitator for ACUE courses. I am also a Quality Matters (QM) Certified Master Reviewer and a Certified Course Review Manager.As a tenured Associate Professor, I teach in the Higher Education Leadership Program and serve on committees and task forces across the institution. Currently I am serving on the strategic planning committee, co-leading the academic excellence strategy group. And I recently led our university in successfully wrapping up the final year of our Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP).My first doctorate is a Ph.D. in US History from the University of Kansas, with secondary fields in Latin American history and Women's/gender history. I am a member of the 2015 Institute for Emerging Leadership in Online Learning (IELOL) through Penn State and the Online Learning Consortium. In 2019, I completed a second doctorate - a globally focused Doctorate of Educational Leadership from Lamar University. My research areas include transformative student learning through high-impact practices, and faculty mentoring and development.Current Associate Editor (2023), and Editorial Peer Review Board Member (2009 - ) for InSight: A Journal of Scholarly Teaching, Park University Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL).
