Lisa Carruth, CPCE began her hospitality career at a Country Club in Sugar Land, Texas in 2002, and got her start as the Director of Catering position in 2003. Lisa then moved to another Club, as the Director of Catering in 2006, managing over $2.1 Million in Catering Sales. In 2010, Lisa was recruited by BraeBurn Country Club, a private, member-owned equity Golf and Country Club, where her sales success continues today, with a focus on Membership and Events. Through various volunteer local and national leadership roles through the National Association for Catering and Events, Lisa has developed and continued to grow as a leader. She is a founding member of the Association of Club Catering Professionals. In 2018, Lisa was honored to become a member of the Houston Chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier. Lisa was named an outstanding leader in Hospitality in 2018 by the Houston Business Journal for “Women Who Mean Business”. Lisa has written 3 articles for CaterSource magazine on event trends and is honored to have been selected to be a speaker at three NACE Experience conferences, and as a panelist for the 2014 ACCP conference. In 2019, Lisa was excited to continue to develop her passion for members and became the Director of Membership and Member Events for BraeBurn Country Club. Her passion is creating member value and member retention through creative member events and activities. One of the proudest accomplishments of her entire career is helping BraeBurn achieve and maintain a waitlist to belong, a first in BraeBurn's over 90-year history. Lisa also spearheads the communication and social media efforts for BraeBurn, helping to update all member communications, the Club newsletter, and all internal Clubmarketing efforts, including “#TheBraeBurnExperience”. Lisa became a member of The Lone Star Chapter of the Private Club Marketing Association in 2019 and currently serves as Chapter President. Currently, Lisa resides in the suburbs of Houston, TX, with her husband Aaron and son Trenton.
