 Secured funding from DEP and EPA by writing housing and health-related grants for a citywide equity & inclusion housing & healthcare campaign while managing a family residential shelter program. Formed a coalition with key organizations and professionals, including Hartford Hospital, DCF, and local nonprofits, to advance our mission. Led equity & inclusion training initiatives, fostering community unity, and cultivated strategic partnerships within the Greater Hartford area, resulting in additional grant funding and campaign support. Achieved campaign milestones: enforced lead inspections in homes, secured $4.5M for lead education and abatement and played a role in passing Lead Legislation-6/26/07 “Public Act 07-2” for mandatory child lead screening in Connecticut.
