Ms. Cookmeyer performed overall project management efforts associated with rehabilitating the water distribution system as a result of damage caused by Hurricane Katrina. She supervised the surface inspection efforts for all water facilities (pipelines, hydrants, valves), including twenty (20) field personnel locating leaks in the system. The $1.05 million disaster recovery project included the surface inspection of over 7 million feet of water mains. She also assisted the client in generating repair work orders to issue to construction contractors. The project included coordination with FEMA Public Assistance and GOHSEP representatives and received full reimbursement. Through this and other post-Katrina recovery efforts, Ms. Cookmeyer gained significant experience in the efforts and logistics required to successfully execute recovery activities following a large-scale disaster. -

Ms. Cookmeyer led the effort on behalf of the Parish in a three-month detailed audit by the USEPA regarding sewerage construction grant funding.
