CARE4 was an IT project implemented to improve the quality of patient care and the delivery of that care throughout four partner hospitals in our region. My role as part of the Change Management & Education team on the project was to create and deliver communication and engagement initiatives. Within strict project timelines, I created web & print deliverables including website design, graphics, presentations, documents, posters, signage, banners and infographics. I researched, wrote and edited content for newsletters & communication pieces. I created and edited video content, maintained our project app and collaborated to design an interactive and engaging project demo space. My role additionally introduced the opportunity to become the Communications Lead on a new patient portal project for our regional hospital partnership. Some of my many roles included creating print, digital, video and web based internal communications for our 4200 associates as well as external communications for our stakeholders and our local communities. I was also solely responsible for the creation and management of Canadian content for HondaTV in partnership with Honda North America. I managed all public plant tours and outreach programs. I hosted high profile guests for tours & media events. VIP guests included nation-wide principle dealers, Consulate Generals, MPPs, Premiers, & the Prime Minister. I have had the remarkable experience of photographing many weddings, events, families, portraits, local landmarks, buildings and scenery in my freelance profession. I thoroughly enjoyed taking part in juried art shows, both at inside and outside venues. I have won national and international awards for my photography. I love the beauty found within a black & white photo. The smell of film processing chemicals brings back wonderful memories.A few years ago I took my passion for photography, design and writing and printed a family cookbook. I also took a year-long journey to blog 365 gratefuls through photography. I learned that taking a photograph every day of something you are grateful for puts your life fully into perspective.

At one time, The Locator was the Yellow Pages biggest competition. They created and distributed business directory publications throughout southern Ontario and the Ottawa area. My key role in the company was solely creating their marketing literature including billboards, magazine & newspaper ads, sales kits and specialty material.

As a freelance writer, some of my projects included writing & editing magazine articles, newspaper columns and special insert sections for the Orangeville Banner. My weekly history column for the Banner was by far my favourite contribution. I also penned and designed a monthly newsletter for the Dufferin County Museum and loved it there so much I volunteered as a docent and toured visitor groups and elementary school students.
