I have more than 20 years' experience of working in communications, marketing and journalism. I am Director of Amplify PR, a public relations and content marketing agency based in Southampton, Hampshire. Amplify PR works with a wide range of business and education sector clients providing ad hoc or retained PR and marketing support. I founded the agency and undertake client work and manage the team. I am an excellent, all-round communications professional, with a specialist background in education – having worked in and led communications and marketing teams in higher education.I am a former journalist, spending most of my career on BBC TV and BBC local radio news. This strong background in journalism has generated a wealth of expertise that has helped establish me as an award-winning public relations specialist. I am a CIPR Accredited PR Practitioner and a Member of Hampshire Chamber of Commerce. I have a Postgraduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism and a CIM Professional Diploma in Marketing.Named Outstanding Independent Practitioner in the 2019 and 2018 CIPR Pride Awards (South of England) and won Silver in 2021.
