I plan, design and instruct curriculum according to the academic, behavioral, and social needs of fifth grade students in both special and general educational settings. Instruction is based on N.J. Core Curriculum Standards, as well as best practice approaches. I am proud to say that for the 2014 -'15 year I achieved the status of 'Highly Effective' from my employer.

I was responsible for screening, interviewing, recruiting, creating and facilitating peer support groups for children dealing with divorce, separation, death or other traumatic family changes. The program started with nine children between the ages of 6 - 12. Within five years the program had expanded to service over 30 families with children between the ages of 5 - 16 and included a parent support group.

I published a monthly column ('Your Personal Best'), addressing challenges and offering solutions for moms balancing work and family, and meeting family needs while addressing needs of their own.
