Teaching water science education to students in kindergarten through high school. All the lessons are hands-on and engaging to help teach students unique drinking water concepts through various teaching methods. The topics for the classroom programs include how water is used in our community, making estimates, water conservation, water pollution, invasive species, and macroinvertebrates. Project WATER is an education program I designed for middle school students to learn about watersheds through place-based learning. Students learn about what affects dissolved oxygen, temperature, nitrates, and pH and their impact on water quality. Project WATER consists of a series of three video-guided classroom programs. It culminates in a day-long field experience where the students test a local river at various locations for the four water quality parameters to determine the river's health.In addition to my education duties, I assist the Communications department with graphic design for flyers, internal company newsletters, and social media content. I create videos for employee training and engagement. The videos are posted internally and on our company's social media platforms. I also manage our Microsoft SharePoint site for internal company communications.
