I am an agile and collaborative Public Health Postdoctoral Research Fellow with 6+ years’ experience designing, implementing, and evaluating initiatives, models of care and pathways within multidisciplinary teams in the private, not-for-profit and university sector. My work bridges the gap between evidence-based research and practice - fast!Some examples include:• While at the George Institute for Global Health I drove the design, implementation and evaluation of a state-wide health promotion program delivered by 70+ professionals of our community partner to close to 300 consumers as part of a $750K NHMRC funded trial. With my leadership, this project met all milestones, and the program was delivered with 92% fidelity and led to long-term enactment of program activities by 88% of consumers.• As a Project Manager on the National Workforce and Education Project at Guide Dogs NSW/ACT, I led the evaluation of innovative education models for Orientation and Mobility Specialists in training with diverse educational and professional backgrounds. This work was in collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders from consumers, low vision organisations across every state and territory of Australia and educational institutions from Australia and abroad. My scoping review paved the way for the new Graduate Diploma of Orientation and Mobility at UNSW Sydney, of which I am a course coordinator.• As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at UNSW I have led cross-sector and international projects. Including a joint research collaboration between UNSW and Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) in India investigating the epidemiology of falls risk in people with vision loss associated with Type 2 Diabetes.
