MEND is a hunger relief network that supports and strengthens 46 community partners, including 21 traditional food pantries, located throughout Essex County, and extends food access beyond the pantries through mobile markets and home deliveries. MEND’s mission is to alleviate hunger by providing fresh and healthy food, funds, volunteers, and a collaborative forum for member pantries, so that they may share ideas and resources, and make a greater impact on the communities they serve. As Development and Communications Manager, I am responsible for supporting the growth and stewardship of individual donors, managing and expanding funding from private foundations, and assisting volunteer committees with the successful execution of our annual fundraising events. Additionally, I will oversee production of all donor-facing communications, including email correspondence, monthly newsletters, annual reports, direct mail campaigns, and other campaign-specific communications and brochures, as well as share social media content on behalf of the organization.

GlassRoots’ mission is to ignite and build the creative and economic vitality of greater Newark, with a focus on under-served youth and young adults, through the transformative power of the glass art experience. As Program Director, I have primary responsibility for the planning, implementation, marketing and assessment of all educational and recreational programs inclusive of school‐based, out‐of‐school‐time and public classes created for all schools (traditional public, public charter, and independent schools), community based organizations, and adult learners.

Created by award-winning filmmaker, Dana H. Glazer, ("The Evolution of Dad", 2010), "Parents of The Revolution" is a documentary film about parent-activists inside the Occupy Wall Street movement.The film follows Kirby Desmarais, founder of Parents for Occupy Wall Street, and several members of the group, from the time of their infamous family sleepover in Zuccotti Park on October 21, 2010, through Hurricane Sandy and its aftermath in October 2012. Release date 2014.

Written for, and by, parents of Maplewood & South Orange, New Jersey, the magazine published the voices of my village, documenting the shifting cultural mores of American parenting Distribution included locations in New York and Los Angeles, and select Barnes & Noble Bookstores.
