• Managed and led a group of contract managers responsible for the negotiation and administration of a network and technology contract portfolio worth $202M procured for the growth, operation and maintenance of Verizon's telecommunications network. • Negotiated and drafted fiber use, telecommunications, maintenance, professional services, real estate lease, software license, equipment, and outsourcing agreements. • Provided counsel and contract interpretation to internal clients and risk assessments to executive management as needed to operate the network, aid in strategic planning and generate revenue. • Streamlined procurement process for all dark fiber and maintenance suppliers for local and transport network and customer service delivery requirements.• Launched a multi-year optimization plan to reduce corporate expenses by reviewing 1,000+ contracts expiring over 5 years. Identified and realized annual savings of $4M-$12M. Decreased costs through contract negotiations and capital business cases to fund network replacements.• Contributed to a 23% improvement in Verizon’s time to repair network catastrophic outages by overhauling and restructuring a leased fiber database which accounts for 40% of Verizon network infrastructure. Reconciled data and provided vendor specific to identify customer impacted systems.• Restructured supplier contracts to allow affiliate wireless company to take advantage of more favorable terms and save over $10M in transport and small cell deployment costs. • Oversaw a project team that researched, analyzed, and published a portfolio of 900 contracts responsive to an FCC Special Access Data Collection Order to determine competition and pricing flexibility in the special access broadband market.

• Supervised and mentored a group of 10-15 paralegals and contract managers to develop infrastructure, dark fiber, ROW, data center and site collocations and equipment leases with technology companies, utilities, energy providers, railroads, and government agencies to support network requirements.• Received a corporate retention bonus to lead project team during company’s time in Chapter 11 bankruptcy to handle all network and technology related contract bankruptcy issues. • Coordinated with outside counsel on a daily basis during bankruptcy to review and identify executory contracts for rejection in bankruptcy proceedings and led all settlement negotiations with creditors. • Designed and implemented a SAP based contract database for 10,000+ contracts to comply with SOX and other accounting depreciation and financial reporting guidelines as well as to serve legal, regulatory, renewal and compliance objectives. Edited and published a user manual for 5 different business groups including customized sections unique to their particular business requirements.
