I completed the summer internship in 2016 where I gained experience with community pharmacy, both the pharmacy and front-end parts of the store. I had the opportunity to work in a team and develop projects to improve pharmacy operations, front-end operations, and customer service, and I presented my results at the end of the internship. After completion of the internship, I stayed on as a pharmacy intern.

I completed medication reconciliation for all patients admitted to University Hospital. I verified their medications with their current pharmacies and primary care physicians, and interviewed patients to accurately update their medication list in the electronic health record.

I taught students effective counseling techniques, administered final practical exams, and monitored students that were practicing sterile compounding. I also provided constructive feedback for students to prepare them for their exams and rotations.
