I am focusing more on Board work through my company Aligning Energy Solutions, and supporting the City of Boston on its Grid Modernization efforts. As a Partner within Guidehouse’s Energy, Sustainability and Infrastructure Practice, I was responsible for key clean energy initiatives and specifically leading go-to-market initiatives around eMobility, clean hydrogen and renewable energy. During my consulting since 1980, I have determined clean energy integration options for utility companies; identified energy program options for international government agencies; developed business strategies for clean energy manufacturers; and conducted due diligence for financial firms considering clean energy investments. I was a Senior Managing Director at Advanced Energy Economy (now Advanced Energy United - AEU) for almost 10 years. AEU is a national business association whose mission is to transform state and Federal policy to ensure a more secure, clean, and affordable U.S. energy system. At AEU, I led their Utility Advisory Committee and CEO/Executive Forums that addressed business model reforms and regulatory changes needed to accelerate the transition to a 21st Century Energy and Transportation System. These initiatives convened utility executives, Public Utility Commissioners, and advanced energy companies to develop a vision for reform that is responsive to the needs of each state and drives towards concrete action. I led a consortium of over 20 companies on the topic of “FERC Order 2222 Implementation: Preparing the Distribution System for DER Participation in Wholesale Markets” as well as an initiative for Arizona Public Service to help them achieve their clean energy targets.I am a board member of: EDP Group; the Northeast Clean Energy Council (Chair of Governance and Nominations Committee for 1 year); NuGen Capital Management; LineVision; Department of Energy's Electricity Advisory Committee; La Donna Musicale, President; Quassy Amusement Park, and Thorndike Pond Conservation Association. Formerly I was on the boards of the American Council on Renewable Energy, and the Solar Electric Power Association (now Smart Electric Power Alliance) and am a DOE C3E Emerita Ambassador.Specialties: Forum convening; utility business models and rate design, distributed energy business strategy, market and technology assessments, due diligence, policy analyses, hydrogen, electric vehicles, and M&A.
