I am experienced in content marketing and marketing communications for mission-based organizations. I can help organizations and businesses tell their stories and engage their communities with dynamic digital content, communications, and strategy. I led marketing for the EDUCAUSE analytics and research, cybersecurity, and policy programs. I managed marketing and communications for a significant number of the association's signature products, including the Core Data Service, the annual student and faculty research, and the digital transformation project. My management portfolio also included social media content strategy, content curation of EDUCAUSE weekly newsletters, and public relations coordination. I chose to step down from my EDUCAUSE Content Manager role in July 2020, as part of the association's reductions in force necessitated by the financial impacts of the pandemic. My specialties include writing, the synthesis of ideas, and the development of effective digital marketing strategy and tactical plans for key target audiences in the nonprofit association environment. I have a track record of successful collaboration with senior executives and management, subject matter experts, and operational teams. I excel at detailed coordination of multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment. I am also experienced in exhibit and trade show marketing and agency and vendor relations. Prior to joining EDUCAUSE, I worked in the book industry for more than 12 years, with stints in marketing, publishing, editing, and bookselling on national and local levels. As Senior Marketing Manager for netLibrary (now a division of EBSCO), I was involved with the introduction of e-books into academic and public libraries. I graduated with a BA in English and summa cum laude College Honors from the University of Colorado at Boulder, where I was named the Outstanding Graduate of the College of Arts and Sciences, the winner of the Jacob Van Ek Award, and a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
