About Lisa Giacumo, Phd

I am an award-winning leader who partners with organizational leaders to engage with them in empathic design thinking, evaluation, and needs assessment, to determine appropriate systems and/or individual interventions, aligned to the organizational culture, business strategy, and desired performance outcomes. My work is informed by my own past award-winning experience leading departments and organizations. Several individuals whom I have supported also became award-winners as a direct result of my guidance.I also have experience owning the strategy and leading the creation of a wide variety of informal and formal learning interventions by facilitating deliberate instructional and learning design processes. Some examples of the interventions I have partnered with others to create include: organizational mentoring systems, organizational communities of practice, curated learning resources, performance support systems, digital multimedia assets, mobile learning environments, online learning environments, e-learning objects, blended learning solutions, and face-to-face training. My work is grounded in state-of-the-art research and evidence-based practice. I keep abreast of trends, new practices, and updated findings, regularly. I accomplish this through a multifaceted strategy.     I educate, train, mentor, and coach, individuals who seek to advance their careers in human performance improvement and instructional design in multinational businesses, nongovernmental organizations, government agencies, and military organizations. I founded and direct the Marginalized and Cross Cultural (MarCC) Research & Development Learning Technology Group. I am responsible for the internal evaluation research component of the grant.
