You could say I’ve been an engineer my whole life. Growing up, I loved puzzles and simply figuring out how things work, whether it was troubleshooting a car engine or beating the video game Myst. These early problem-solving skills set the stage for my educational and career pursuits, and also cemented my role as the fastest puzzle solver in my family to this day. After achieving both my bachelor’s degree and doctorate in chemical engineering, I spent my career as an engineer looking for opportunities to impact many industries right on the manufacturing floor. This started by making some of the early silicon wafers in college, then transitioning to innovating on refined pulp and paper processes. Next, I helped create efficient window insulation materials and, finally, worked on both controlled release and spray-dried dispersion technologies, resulting in more effective medicines for patients. With more than 15 years of industry experience, I transitioned to entrepreneurship, starting my own engineering services company and honing my leadership skills for four years before I officially joined Seeq. My background and desire to drive innovation and positive change across the industrial sector made Seeq the perfect place to lend my experience, energy, and enthusiasm as a leader. As the CEO of Seeq, I lead a global, virtual team of problem solvers who believe in integrity, value every team member, and foster collaboration on our journey toward creating a modern, sustainable industrial future. We empower industrial companies with advanced analytics and AI, making their data more accessible and impactful to accelerate digital transformation outcomes and to help them make safer products and improve the health of our planet. Outside of work, you can find me sailing around the San Juan Islands, diving or learning to paint with my sons, tackling new languages (I’m working on Italian!), and supporting higher education through STEM initiatives.
