Teach and Learn with Technology = Inspire. Inquire. Integrate. Innovate. Influence. What began as a random summer project in Bulgaria as a Peace Corps volunteer blossomed into a lifelong career that has evolved over the years. During that summer of 1993, I worked with 65 engineers as they were retrained as English teachers. Here I am nearly 30 years later still a teacher's teacher! I stumbled upon this path in education, but I truly believe that it was meant to be.Of course, times have changed as Marc Prensky points out, “Our students have changed radically. Today’s students are no longer the people our educational system was designed to teach.” From On the Horizon (MCB University Press, Vol. 9 No. 5, October 2001) It is so easy to say what, but the truth lies in the how and why. As I work with those in the field of education whether the teachers, the administrators, the parents, the staff, the faculty, or the visionaries, I keep the bottom line in sight. I see the future where technology intersects with content and content intersects with pedagogy all seamlessly. As someone dedicated to working along with all those involved in one of the most important human endeavors, (education), I am committed to making a difference at all levels. Developmentally, we all arrive at different entry points. I see where I fit into this puzzle and I am able to meet those at their level of understanding and developmental stage.
