Did you know that Microsoft Excel can be used to organize pretty much anything? It's true. I love a spreadsheet! I also know that finding reliable bookkeeping and fulfilling financial reporting requirements can be hard for small organizations, both for-profit and nonprofit. That's why I am pursuing an Accelerated Accounting Certificate from Portland Community College (expected completion June 2024), transitioning my love of spreadsheets and organizing information into a career in bookkeeping. I bring more than a love of spreadsheets. From my very first job documenting procedures for Oracle General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable modules, to the job where I documented financial controls processes and procedures for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, to my most recent job creating complex website plans that meet regulatory requirements for financial services firms—throughout my career I have become well-versed in the language and culture of financial services and compliance.
