As Associate Director, I led Scientific Engagement strategies and planning for compounds within our Global Oncology Medical Affairs (GOMA) division. This included monitoring and assessing the medical & competitive landscape, analyzing Key External Expert (KEE) insights, and developing appropriate strategic action plans in alignment with organizational goals. During this time, I oversaw the development and delivery of evidence-based clinical services and programs, including managing content, leading a diverse and remote team, and evaluating alignment with industry best practices, quality controls, and treatment guidelines. I collaborated with physicians to ensure the accuracy and integrity of therapeutic interchange options; implemented programs for use across all Medicare Part D and commercial products; and identified and resolved coverage gaps through strategic planning. During this time, I designed instructional, marketing, and sales enablement content for teams throughout the managed care enterprise. I wrote communications materials for consumers, clients (employer groups and health plans), healthcare providers, and internal teams. I partnered with medical writers and editors, graphic designers, and other professionals to ensure accuracy of content and appropriateness of visual design of materials and established and managed timelines for all publications and projects. I authored the CVS Caremark Clinical Communications Style Guide to ensure consistency across the organization. Additionally, in this role, I mentored and coached pharmacy students from University of Chicago.

For Walgreens, I directed the development and maintenance of population-based disease management programs, including preparing sales materials, writing clinical content, and overseeing consumer- and physician-facing communications. I also developed training materials for internal teams that included clinical call center, pharmacists, and sales professionals. While with the organization, I chaired our Pharmaceutical Care Management Subcommittee; served on the P&T Committee; and mentored pharmacy students and residents for local ASHP-accredited programs.

During my post-graduate residency, I designed, implemented, and maintained point-of-care monitoring and education program, designed and conducted a research project related to an A1C monitoring and education program, and developed, implemented, and maintained disease management activities related to asthma, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, and osteoporosis. I also collaborated with physician groups to optimize patient care and enhance growth of clinic activities, coordinated clinical services at five Chicagoland Cub Pharmacies, marketed disease management programs throughout the Chicagoland area, and designed and implemented pharmacy improvement projects related to medication errors and enhanced workflow patterns. In addition, I mentored Midwestern University Chicago College of Pharmacy rotation students, presented lectures and facilitated workshops at Midwestern University Chicago College of Pharmacy, presented various health-related topics to residents at the local retirement center, and participated in the accreditation process of a community-based residency program.
