Singer, performer, producer/project leaader and librettist based in Stockholm, Sweden. My opera The Weave (Den Stora Vävoperan), with music by composer Stefan Klaverdal, was premiered in 2015 i Borås at Textilmuseet and has since then been performed several times in Sweden and Dhaka Bangladesh. As a project leader I have been working with several artistic projects. Most recently (2017-19) did I work with the cultural exchange project The Weave in collaboration with Postkodstiftelsen, Svenska Institutet and the bangladeshi theatre group Theatre Art Unit, including their tour to Sweden in May 2019 with performances of Hanna o Shapla - a bangladeshi music theatre freely based on the Swedish opera The Weave. Me and Stefan Klaverdal are now working on our next opera - Fallling, falling apart, faling in love - a collaborative circus opera about love. Stage director Magnus Berg, producer Fredrik Malmgård, dramaturgist Jonas Bernander, singers Mira Pyne and Lisa, accordeon Catharina Backman. I am a board member at Musikcentrum Öst and Musikcentrum Riks, and also a member of Fylkingen Previous I have been a chairman in FRIM (frim-stockholm.se) and working in the board of RANK. As a singer am I working between the fields of experimental opera, free improvisation and sound art. Starting out as an opera singer I moved towards improvisation and developed extended voice techniques which I am using in the telling of stories – as well poetic non spoken, as verbal narratives. In my artistic writing I am using a poetic language in the telling of stories of life and death, with a great interest in being part in changing the world to a better place.
