Responsible for developing and overseeing the execution of the investor relations, corporate communications and ESG strategy at Redwood Trust (NYSE: RWT), a specialized financial services company headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area with offices in Denver, Irvine, and New York.

With a progressive career within Juniper, my responsibilities and scope of work reached a broad range. Most recently, I was accountable for developing and executing on all aspects of the global IR program including strategy, operating plans, and budget.Key contributions included:Developed messaging and wrote content for quarterly financial disclosures including CEO and CFO scripts, press releases, Q&A documents and SEC filings. Functioned as lead contact for top tier buy-side analysts, portfolio managers and ~30 sell-side analysts, ensuring consistency in messaging of the company’s strategy and financial results. Presented Company’s strategy and value proposition at investor conferences, international tradeshows, roadshows, and company hosted events. Recognized as a strategic advisor to the CEO, CFO, and BOD on Wall Street perception, trading activity, and the company’s annual and quarterly communication strategy. Led corporate governance initiatives including BOD interaction with shareholders, development of the annual report and proxy, and facilitation of discussions with investors, governance analysts, and senior management.

Reported to VP, Partner Marketing with an annual budget of ~$100M to drive global partner revenue growth through loyalty programs, marketing development funds, and marketing events.

Led a team of 6 to drive partner engagement and loyalty by developing the strategy and content for semi-annual partner advisory councils and business planning sessions held in Asia, Europe, and the Americas.

Participated in executing the Company’s capital allocation strategy with $1.2B in accelerated share repurchases and raising $350M with a secondary bond offering.

Collaborated with the communications staff in creating the Company’s external and internal messages ensuring external and internal communications are integrated and consistent. Served as a senior spokesperson; presented the Company’s strategy and value proposition to financial analysts and portfolio managers at investor events, meetings, and international roadshows. Directed staff through developing executive presentations, scripts, and anticipated Q/A for investor events and meetings; advised and prepared CEO, CFO, and other company executives for communications with Wall Street.

Reported to the VP of Treasury, played a key role in helping the Company achieve investment grade ratings from Moody's and S&P and successfully issue a $1B bond offering. Developed presentation content and speaking points for Founder/CTO and EVP of Sales to Moody’s and S&P rating agencies. Produced anticipated Q&A documentation for CFO conversations with fixed income analysts; participated in the “go-live” process fielding questions with interested bondholders.

Supported all aspects of the earnings release process, including scripting, preparing press releases, developing anticipated questions and answers, and creating presentation slides for the webcast and call. Developed and executed the annual investor targeting strategy to nurture and diversify the shareholder base. Collaborated with legal team to develop annual report and proxy; facilitated proxy discussions with governance analysts.

Managed relationships with sell-side and buy-side analysts communicating Company’s message and strategy. Executed global investor events in the US and China.
