Regularly interact with state and regulatory officials on behalf of company. Provide legal advice on issues related to reorganization and downsizing of business units and prepare related employee separation documents. Routinely collaborate with and advise HR professionals and executive management on employment issues.

Lisa Sharp is a partner in the firm's Governmental Relations and Energy practice groups, where she primarily focuses on drafting, reviewing and analyzing legislation and counseling clients on the implications of existing and proposed legislation and regulatory compliance and interfacing with regulatory agencies. Ms. Sharp’s routinely counsels companies and individuals on administrative and regulatory matters, including agency investigations, internal investigations, Safety-Conscious Work Environment (SCWE) issues, ADR and enforcement proceedings.Ms. Sharp also has significant trial experience in both federal and state courts in addition to her experience representing clients before state and federal administrative agencies. Her litigation experience extends to defending individuals, public and privately-held companies, utilities, and other clients against claims brought under state and federal laws, including but not limited to the Dodd Frank Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair Lending Act, Home Mortgage Disclosure Act, USA Patriot Act, Title VII, and the Fair Housing Act. She also has successfully defended corporate clients against wrongful death, retaliatory discharge, breach of contract, and other tort claims filed in state court.
