Dual professional: Education researcher and English specialist.Former Senior Lecturer in Education Studies at Liverpool John Moore’s University.Former Lecturer of English Language on the BA(Hons)English Language, Literature and Writing at Blackpool School of Arts (B&FC). Lecturer of Creative Writing on the Ascentis Access to Higher Education course. Employability placement within Blackpool School of Arts.My current research questions the relationship between political discourses of higher education and the impact on notions of quality.I have interests in the areas of Discourse, Digital Literacies and Practice, Stylistics, Education, philosophy and policy. I offer a passion for up to date, scholarly activity and good practice. Prior to my higher education posts, I worked in local schools and colleges for 4 years, including two long term substitute placements at Blackpool 6th Form and Hodgson Academy. I have also worked within SEN teams. This has given me practical experience of the wider educational journey and a strong knowledge of social impacts during the formative years of our students.I offer a wide range of skills as well as a high level of commitment and enthusiasm.
