I am independent, but thrive in an environment with team collaboration. I love when I can organically connect with someone and build a lasting relationship, both personally and professionally. Relationships are everything to me and I believe each person is a teacher.I’m naturally curious and analytical and I believe in taking the extra time to get it right. I like to dig deeper and ask why? If I have a question, I ask it. If I don't know the answer, I'm resourceful, and I will find it. I am able to see the big picture, but also achieve the daily small tasks needed to move a project forward quickly and efficiently. Life is all about balance, and a work-life balance is important to me. Happy employees are more likely to do good work and feel a sense of pride and achievement when the day is over. I am fascinated by consumer behavior and the Psychology behind it. I majored in Marketing & Psychology at the University of South Carolina (go Gamecocks!) and while the industry has drastically changed over the last 20 years (hello digital!), I am still just as passionate about these topics as I was in college.Professionally, I have over 15 years of marketing, advertising and branding experience. I started my career in NYC getting my feet wet at two of the top branding agencies in the world, and I fell in love. NYC took me to Austin, Tx. (a.k.a. mini-silicone valley) and after that I made a full circle back to Cville, VA.I've succeeded at several large and small agencies, as well as several in-house marketing departments. I've been the marketing expert in healthcare, medical device, technology, hospitality, retail, fintech, tourism, non-profits and more. I know how to become the expert and apply the current marketing trends to that particular industry, whatever it might be. I believe that is one way to show my success.Every product or service has a compelling story to go along with it. As marketing professionals, it is our job to do the research, dial-in in on the relevant audiences, map out the customer journey and find a creative way to tell a compelling story.Storytelling builds a connection with the audience so they follow you, trust you, and take the journey with you.
