I’ve always craved information. The desire to learn has taken me on non-linear career journey, one that leaves me constantly looking forward to my next left turn. Early in my career my next step was unclear. However, it was obvious to one of my managers. She recognized that my communication and organizational skills made me a great candidate for project management. Fortunately, she had the good sense to tell me! My path was clear, I just needed to make my move. That move came in the form of a move to the world of heavy-duty trucks. My job grew along with my drive and determination. I went from being trusted with expense reports and presentation formatting to coordinating the division’s multi-million dollar Six Sigma portfolio and contributing to multiple different teams. I was fortunate to have another supportive manager who recognized my hard work and promoted me into Project Management.Since then I have worked tirelessly to hone my craft or build skills to complement my project management expertise, eventually moving from manufacturing into travel ecommerce at Costco Travel. I worked on front end consumer projects that brought new products to our members, enhanced our website design and made it responsive. Other projects included investigating opportunities to simply the user's search journey, and transitioning critical applications to newer technologies. In May of 2022 I took a flying leap into the world of Product Management with a goal of learning and living Agile methodologies. I've dug deep into both front and back-end features to identify changes that deliver the most value, and this work has only served to broaden my perspective and skillset. I look forward to seeing where my experience and curiosity lead me in the future, but I am proud of how much I’ve grown so far.
