I am a marketing and brand strategist with expertise in launches, re-launches, and marketing to sophisticated audiences. I first trained at large international agencies working on global brands (IBM, AmEx, and Quaker) and then served as the VP of Marketing for a division of South African Airways. Following these experiences, I launched a marketing research and strategy firm with Ivy League academics that leveraged theory and methodologies from the Human Sciences (Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, and Economics).We secured a prestigious client roster, leading a variety of engagements for a top 3 management consulting firm, Chanel, Citi, Columbia Business School, The Economist, LACMA, Mercedes-Benz/Maybach, The Shed, Sotheby’s, the Whitney, and the U.N. and numerous startups.In addition, I was CEO of a high-growth startup focused on helping people learn what to say, do, and give to people going through cancer. I ran the company for 4 years, assembled a high-performing team, recruited a sophisticated board, and delivered 8-50% month-over-month growth on multiple KPIs. We built a complex, integrated technology product that included e-commerce, a gift registry, social media, calendaring, and two-sided marketplace features. Our marketing metrics consistently outperformed industry standards by 2-10x. The company’s mission, team, and performance attracted investment from institutional investors and HNWIs, including Boston Consulting Group, Campbell’s, Victoria’s Secret, and Weill Cornell CEOs. This mission and role was the most rewarding work of my career.I am now back to doing what I love most: running a consultancy that helps organizations facing stalled growth -- or an unsustainable increase in customer acquisition costs -- identify and execute new growth opportunities through research, strategy, branding, communications, content, and data dashboards. We also work with impact organizations, helping accelerate their reach, engagement, and contributions.
