A South Boston based online bakery, Boston Baked Blossoms specializes in artisanal buttercream cupcake bouquets. Artist/designer Lisa Mackin skillfully wields a piping bag to sculpt edible flowers out of sugar and butter - happily catering to sweet tooths in the Boston area.Lisa called on her skills as a UX/UI designer when she produced Boston Baked Blossom’s e-commerce website to help automate and streamline some of the business related tasks that a traditional bakery has to contend with. The standard product offering is presented in a user friendly manner, providing a way for customers to easily browse, order, pay and set up pickup/delivery - all on a secure online platform - allowing Lisa more time in the kitchen fashioning confectionary flowers and inventing new products.
