Human Resources CoordinatorNatural Factors Nov 2019 - Oct 2020Monroe, WaAs the primary, first-point contact for HR, I truly loved being able to offer guidance and a smile to nearly 300 employees. I was often told I was the most trustworthy HR person they had ever worked with, and that they always felt good after interacting with me, regardless of the reason. Leads, supervisors, & managers would turn to me for coaching, and frequently complimented my positivity, approachability, & honesty. This was a welcome way to work and begin my career in HR. -
Barista | Customer Engagement SpecialistStarbucks Nov 2018 - Feb 2020Marysville (4Th Street)Working at Starbucks with a team of kiddos and a manager half my age was one of the best career moves I made, ever! We laughed, gave smiles, shared high fives, and did all we could to make each customer feel welcome & loved. We offered the support of a family and were there to hold each other accountable when necessary. And our customers felt it. Our regulars came by to read the morning paper, grabbed their grande Pike on the way to the office, checked in on the barista's latest weekend activity, and offered treats & hugs as tokens of appreciation. Our less frequent or out-of-area visitors got a special moment of joy from us as we walked them through our beverage recipes, offered above & beyond customizations to orders, remade wrong drinks from another store, took extra time to walk them through our app, or helped them cart that 12-beverage order out to their car. As a partner (employee) of my own former (and once again) coffee shop hangout, it was wonderful to become a part of the neighborhood as a person who could make an even greater impact on sharing love in the world. Because of that opportunity, I was allowed to be my best self and was awarded Partner of the Quarter in January 2019, after only being employed for two months - something my manager told me she's never seen. It was just the right place at just the right time, and I'm thankful I had the opportunity to make a positive difference there! -

Vp Membership 2019-2020 | Vp Education 2017-2018 | Club Member 2013-2014 And 2016-2019Toastmasters International May 2013 - Oct 2019Edmonds, WaIn my last role as Vice President of Membership for 2019-2020 (and active member), my emphasis was on inviting new guests to visit our club, sharing the exciting accomplishments of our members, and on-boarding new members who are ready to take that next step of excellence in their careers. As both a member and former officer of Toastmasters International, I was especially honored to be the Edmonds Toastmasters Vice President of Education for the 2017-2018 program year! In order to help individuals grow in their public speaking skills, I was able to coach members or connect them with a mentor to develop their own individualized plans. I am thankful for what Toastmasters International has provided, and find that I'm able to utilize the tools, techniques, and resources every single day. Additionally, during my time as a club officer, I received my first Competent Communicator Award in January 2018, followed by the Competent Leader Award in March 2018, and then the Advanced Communicator Bronze in February 2019. As a member, it was a privilege to represent our local club as a club speech contest winner (2013) and area contest 2nd place winner (2013). The skills I learned from the Toastmasters International curriculum, gave me newfound confidence in my presentation and speaking skills, while fine-tuning my leadership attributes. Through my membership, my network of valuable community partners grew, as did my ambition to bring people together in mutually beneficial working relationships. In my future professional ventures, I will look forward to bringing a club to the professionals with whom I work so everyone can benefit from such a valuable program. -

In 2015 the work I did directly with AAMC students resulted in a placement rate of over 80% for training-related employment, and boasted a 92% placement rate for highly-engaged participants throughout the 3-year program overall. These services have been generously provided by the Skill Up/The Seattle Foundation, Title III, WIOA, and YouthWorks, along with collaborative partnerships with WorkSource Snohomish County and Workforce Snohomish. -
