Senior Risk Management Consultant
CurrentJune 2003 to May 2009, September 2010 to Present Responsible for providing account management and risk management consulting services for 80+ members in Eastern Oregon and 70 members in Southern Oregon for workers’ compensation, general liability, property, auto liability / physical damage, and medical benefits. Serve as an advisor and liaison between CIS and members/agents, providing high-quality customer service.Assist members and agents in developing a safety and risk management culture within their entities.Develop sample written policies and procedures that are shared with members.Provide training to managers and supervisors on employment practices and performance management.Develop and provide various safety training programsAuthor various newsletter articles for Safety Shorts and Real-Time Risk publications.Work on various projects as assigned, including cyber security grant program. Collaborate with other CIS staff and departments to address member issues and respond to various questions. Provide risk management recommendations to underwriting regarding coverage, premium increases, and increased deductibles for members.Work with management and risk management services team on strategic planning and goal setting.Provide leadership, direction, and technical support to other risk management consultants and CIS staff on projects under my tower of responsibilities.Participated in risk management consultant interview panels and provided hiring recommendations to the management team.Conduct onsite best practice surveys, hazard inspections (buildings, bridges, dams, water/wastewater facilities), risk management plan development and implementation, and utilize ERM practices in identifying risk and mitigating/eliminating it. Document all consulting activities in the CIS and SAIF systems.Review member claims and perform claims analysis to determine focused risk management efforts and training.
