Thoiry Working Women's Group (TWWG) was an English speaking career group I founded for professional women in the Geneva Switzerland area wishing to return to paid employment after a break from professional life due to child-rearing or a relocation. Purpose of GroupThe group prepared professional women for re-entry into the paid workforce through networking and peer coaching. I organized meetings every two weeks. For every meeting I brought in leading professional women employed in private industry & international organizations to give workshops and hold panel discussions free-of charge. Workshops and panel discussions covered subjects pertinent to working mothers such as CV writing, competency based interviewing, work-life balance, applying for jobs when overqualified, local childcare choices, and personal goal setting. In-between meetings participants worked in pairs on concrete goals set at the previous meeting.My responsibilities included:➢ setting group objectives➢ member recruitment➢ guest speaker recruitment➢ meeting agenda setting / panel discussion objective setting➢ meeting facilitation & presentations➢ general logistics and group communicationsThis group disbanded after I returned to paid employment as no members were able/willing to take on the role as group facilitator and organizer. 8 out of 12 TWWG members had returned to paid employment by the time the group concluded.
