Led a matrixed team in formulation development of MRD level NGS assays slated for IVD submission under design controls. Co-authored communications with FDA and managed constantly shifting timelines.

Responsible for fast paced development and transfer of NGS-based diagnostic RUO and CAP/CLIA assays to our on-site clinical lab.

Performed research into cell-free DNA processing and extraction techniques to improve specificity and sensitivity of NGS-based clinical diagnostic assays for prenatal genetic testing. Worked with an amazing team to generate a home-brew, automated extraction protocol for obtaining cell free DNA from plasma.

Led the setup of qPCR and flow cytometry labs for CRO startup.

Demonstrated lowered innate immune response by cultured monocytes from nanotextured vs flat anodized titanium surfaces.

Utilized in vitro and in vivo techniques to explore the initial innate immune response to implanted biomaterials with varying surface chemistry.

Implemented several sequencing projects on immune genes of endangered species, including cheetah, rhinoceros, and african wild hunting dog.

Taught science to 10 and 11 year olds in the mountains.

Worked as a member of support staff for summers from 1994 through 2000 at a residential summer camp for adults and children with developmental delays. Largely functioned as lifeguard, but also helped in general running of activities and acting as a councilor when needed. I have returned to camp sporadically through the years to volunteer as a camp councilor, it's a fun place to be in the summer.
