Her legal practice is focused on litigation defense, including catastrophic injury claims, traumatic brain injuries, spine injuries and product liability. Ms. Mersereau has successfully defended claims in numerous cases where damages were alleged against her clients in excess of $10 million.Ms. Mersereau represents insurance companies in uninsured/underinsured motorist claims of up to $10 million + and has extensive knowledge and experience in successfully resolving UIM claims.Ms. Mersereau has significant experience with insurance coverage and related issues, including risk allocations, indemnity obligations, additional insolvency situations, under-insured projects, carrier exhaustion, WRAP policies and Self-Insured Retentions. This experience has afforded her the unique ability to handle cases with an overall view of pertinent, often complex, insurance and financial issues impacting her clients necessary for achieving successful results. Ms. Mersereau contributes significant time and resources to numerous charitable activities. In 2006, she co-founded DS Action, a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation which partnered with Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego to establish the first pediatric Down Syndrome Center in Southern California.
