While obtaining my Masters in Corporate and Organizational Communication I became interested in process improvement strategies within businesses and its effects on employees. Looking at everything from the desire of a business wanting to make a change because of cost effectiveness, or otherwise, to them making the decision of doing it, to the implementation strategy utilized and most importantly, their follow through on making the change a valuable one all employees. Learning about the theories involved in why people make the decisions they do, why people react as they do, and everything in between is what has really helped me open communication, mend fences, and calm minds, in my current position. Whatever opportunities come my way, I want to be able to use what I have learned to help make transitions easier for all involved parties of a change within business.
