As the Senior Director of Development I am responsible for the management and execution of all fundraising activities of The Arts Partnership/Chapman Cultural Center. This includes oversight of major gift, corporate sponsorship, and annual giving programs, including the United Arts Fund Campaign and its components: corporate, foundation and individual giving. I work closely with the President in creating and implementing an annual fundraising and stewardship plan with goals, objectives, and strategies for identifying, cultivating, and soliciting individual, corporate and foundation gifts. I also work with Marketing Director to create and refine an annual integrated communications and marketing plan to convey our mission, value, and relevance in a manner that is highly compelling in all of our communications/marketing materials that inspires increased and new giving.

• Responsible for growing fundraising efforts by over 48% for a Non-Profit that serves over 1600 children and parents in Upstate South Carolina.• Out of the $2.5M total annual budget, I am responsible for annual fundraising of $677,000, with $100,000 from grants and the remainder from corporate and individual donor giving and special events.• Report to CEO and supervise 2 direct reports, the Public Relations Coordinator and the Volunteer & Community Engagement Coordinator.• Successfully grew our annual “Tinis & Tapas” fundraiser by over 52% in 3 years; from 275 attendees and $54,641 raised the year before I took over to 425 attendees and $112,090 raised last year.• Successfully grew our annual “Tailgate Trot” Fundraiser by over 45% in 3 years; from 300 attendees and $34,880 raised the year before I took over to 400 attendees and $63,085 raised last year.• By keeping expenses below $25,000 for both events, I created a net $150,175 (a 600% ROI).• Responsible for 2 major annual donor mailings totaling over 7000 pieces; 5000 at Christmas & 2000 for Child Abuse Awareness Month.• Use Talisma’s Donor II Software to manage our donor database.• Manage, review, and report on all donations including appropriate tax documentation and thank-yous.• Created, implemented, and manage our “Thank-A-Thon”, where teams make personal phone calls to donors simply to express appreciation without solicitations.• Build relationships with corporate sponsors and donors through personal visits and informational meetings to solicit financial support for the HCFC. • Responsible for maintaining confidentiality of individual and corporate donors.• Use Survey Monkey online service to collect feedback on things such as marketing campaigns, donor engagement, and fundraising events.• Manage “The Patrons Society”; a group of around 50 Volunteer “Ambassadors” for the center.

• Responsible for coordinating donations from local grocery stores and food suppliers of more than 1.3 Million meals to over 90 partner agencies, food pantries, shelters, and soup kitchens in the Upstate. • Reported on my responsibilities as they related to the $250,000 total annual budget. • Managed the logistics of 240 donor pickups each week by a team of volunteers working 7 days a week. • Built relationships with financial and in-kind donors such as restaurants and grocery stores through regular in-person communication, site visits, marketing campaigns, and letters of appreciation.• Used Constant Contact for email marketing campaigns to reach an average of 1500 recipients/communication. • Responsible for reviewing applications from Greenville County Non-Profits requesting assistance (food donations) from L&F.• Used customized ERP Software to track inventory and manage logistics.• Wrote the grant that awarded us the funding to create a much needed new website.• Worked with our Web-developer on the project including site map, content, branding, SEO, etc.• Responsible for managing our Social Media presence such as our L&F Facebook page.

• Responsible for bookkeeping, administrative duties, and property management for Cleveland S. Harley’s company that managed 5 family trusts, philanthropic support to Wofford College & USC Upstate, an 8-unit apartment complex, and multiple commercial property locations including strip-malls, free-standing retail stores, warehouses, and vacation rentals across North Carolina and South Carolina.• Managed renovations and maintenance requests on properties including sub-contractor bids, scheduling, and design specifications.• Used QuickBooks to perform weekly payroll, AP, AR, Invoicing, payment collections, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting. • Assisted with preparing legal documentation for court hearings for evictions, notices, and real estate filings.• Responsible for the annual “Harley Golf Tournament” fundraiser benefiting the USC Upstate Athletic Program.• Scouted and secured location, expenses, sponsors, vendors, menus, advertising, and volunteers for the event.

• Responsible for financial and administrative duties for a 1000 person congregation with 10 Staff members. • Used ACS Software to perform accounting including bi-monthly payroll, tithing, and financial reporting. • Worked with outside accounting firm on annual financial audit.• Assisted with the design and content of over 1000 pieces of print media each week, such as programs, postcards, and event marketing.
