Working in collaboration with the interim CEO and CFO to articulate and implement the strategic vision and leadership of this innovative public health institute. Responsibilities include organizational operations, administrative and program strategy, and leadership development.

I work with people who are not getting what they want - they missed that promotion, they're not finding clients, their team isn't coalescing, they're not meeting the right romantic partner - and they want to strengthen their influence and recover their personal power. Through an apprenticeship series I've developed, Practical Magic for the Resilient Heart, I start with individual goals and then share applied skill-building and simple but profound communication tools in a small group setting. This includes, but is not limited too, strategies to build our mental flexibility, our agility and social intelligence and our self-awareness.. and we spend time in Nature, too!

Share content area expertise in youth sexual health and intimate partner violence prevention to help schools, communities and statewide organizations plan and execute a strategic, integrated vision for the health and wellness of young people.

Strategic Leadership: Led CYM through a turnaround by securing a 5-year federal grant of $750k; Provided inspirational leadership to Staff and Board on organizational priorities, goals and vision, refining and operationalizing the strategic plan and developing an actionable sustainability plan; Recruited, engaged strategic Board members to prioritize, execute organization’s initiatives.Fundraising/Financial Management: Developed, monitored, identified strategies to ensure healthy, long-term financial growth; Initiated Social Enterprise learning, planning, development with Board/Staff team; Oversaw grant-making, doubling the organization’s operating budget to $1.2million; Ensured strong fiscal management, due diligence and adequate internal controls; Managed expenses within budget; Oversaw annual audit, other financial reporting. Public Ambassador: Sought out, cultivated partnerships & collaborations with key stakeholders to advance youth sexual health; Served as champion and chief spokesperson for Colorado Youth Matter; Built a brand identity and a local/statewide/national presence in support of adolescent sexual health; Communicated with grantors, private funders, individual contributors and general stakeholders on organization developments and about the issues affecting adolescent sexual health and academic success.Management and Supervision: Established strong learning culture; oversaw daily operations, including staff and programmatic progress; Built an exceptional staff team of 12 through exemplary hiring, supervising, evaluation practices; Created strengths-based culture and "ethical communication" practice for employees; Created, maintained a climate that attracts, retains, motivates and builds capacity of high-performing staff; Constructed measures of success for staff, program and organizational development; Secured access to top-notch benefits, alignment with all relevant HR laws, regulations and best practices.

Led a dynamic, growing statewide coalition working to support positive health and academic outcomes for all youth through comprehensive, age appropriate, science based sexuality education.
