Most all Chinese/English bilingual speakers have the same 7-10 pronunciation and enunciation errors or sound issues. YOU CAN SOUND BETTER with just a few tweaks in a very short time! It's not your "accent" it's that you've been taught incorrect sounds. Let me help you clean up those so you sound amazing! The reason I know this is because I taught for VIPKid Ltd for 3.5 years and I taught just at 5,892 one on one lessons to over 1600 different Chinese students. I was also hand picked out of 160,000 teachers to be a Rural Education Teacher where I taught remote classes to rural Chinese school children. As a classically trained pianist with a degree in music education I realized there were patterns to these errors/sounds and eventually narrowed them down, as well as implementing multiple techniques of my own, to help children correct the missing sounds to their speaking abilities. I tried my techniques on many curious parents as well that were eager to help their children learn to speak better English. I've added the illusive "dark L" sound in only 5 minutes into so many student's speaking abilities that I've lost count! I break it down and they understand it! Fast!!! I'm not TESOL certified (I don't want to be!) and honestly I don't like that part of teaching English. However, I absolutely LOVE helping folks speak excellent and beautiful English! My accent is a "General American Accent" and so I teach all of my students this accent. I'll also correct your verb tenses and other speaking errors just so you know when you've made them.
