I have been a strong advocate for financial education, advice and support for over 20 years after 'finding' my path into financial planning when I was close to completing an accounting degree. With an extensive background in financial planning and executive leadership across multi-disciplinary business units, I bring a wealth of experience in leading leaders and their teams, driving and managing change, improving efficiencies and developing and fostering strategic partnerships both internally and externally. Employing a disciplined, yet flexible approach to develop and grow a new distribution channel for Hostplus, I am fortunate to lead a dedicated team who are equally committed to making it easier for advisers to work with Hostplus. Having seen the difference quality financial advice can make to peoples lives, empowering financial advisers with tools and support is essential.After seeing all-too-often, the limited financial well-being in many female clients, I've been particularly keen on increasing financial literacy for women. I have partnered with like-minded organisations and brands including Adelady, TAFE, WEA, LG Professionals and the Womens Professional Development network at Adelaide University to present on topical financial planning issues and investment courses. In my 'spare time' I enjoy travelling, home renovations and spending time with my adult children, husband, family and friends. I am also proud to have worked with and support an Australian charity, Hands Across the Water, who care for at-risk children in Thailand. Having participated in several renovation projects and an 800km bike ride across NE Thailand, it is humbling and satisfying to see the continual development and growth of these beautiful children.
