Part designer, part developer – you might call me a creative hybrid. I received a formal education in print design and then topped it off with 14 years of print design and web development experience. My strength is in cross-media, multi-touch marketing campaigns – from concept and design across direct mail, email and landing page components to list management and incorporating variable data for custom, personalized user experiences. I love ink, paper, x-acto blades and Super 77. I’m skilled at making mockups as varied as retail packaging, customized mailers and paper cups. I know how print works – dot gain, super blacks, printer spreads and short folds are no problem. I’m at home in Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. Optimizing images for web, customizing Wordpress templates and writing semantic, SEO-optimized HTML and CSS for responsive emails or websites are right in my wheelhouse. I’ve also created training videos with synchronized screen recordings and voiceover tracks, and I’m continuing to hone my AfterEffects and Premier abilities.    A lot of designers roll their eyes when you mention Word, PowerPoint and Excel, but I realize that sometimes they’re the most appropriate answer to a need. I have experience creating Word and PowerPoint templates, and I think Excel is the star in the Microsoft Office Suite. Maybe it’s the developer in me, but I like creating spreadsheets that use formulas, conditional formatting and lookup tables.
