Since 2010, when I was asked to manage a Congressional campaign to influence/increase the minority votes, I have become adamant about educating the underserved. I realized in managerial capacity that underserved communities are unaware of their political power and potential. Though it may be impossible for me to single handedly save the world, I can make a difference; one family at a time. That is the mission of Y.E.P. (Youth Empowerment Project of Long Island). It is our goal to expose youth and their families to college and career options while simultaneously educating them on the importance of civic engagement.
