I am part of a team of technology professionals that volunteer their time to support the Michigan Technology Network. My proudest accomplishment was creating what has become the organization's most most popular event "There's an App for That" and carrying on the annual E-Cycle program. The Michigan Technology Network (MITN) is a statewide organization driven to enhance the development of technology professionals through education and networking events with a focus on community involvement. Our core pillars, which drive our organization and its goals, are Education, Networking, and Community. I have passed on the Presidential torch, but led the organization in 2012-2014 www.mitn.org

As an instructor I encourage adults to embrace computers and utilize the power of the Internet.ITEC Everyday Digital courses are aimed at novice computer users. This program has separate 5 week sessions designed to support underemployed and unemployed workers and other adults by developing a greater sense of confidence and capability for living in today’s increasingly technology-dependent world. With the latest grant, ITEC has since shifted its focus to after school robotics courses and discontinued its evening adult education classes.

My career at Arialink began with an internship where I was responsible for inventorying and mapping the availability of telecommunications services available within six counties in Michigan for "LINK Michigan" a grant funded initiative. Through the years my responsibilities shifted to a prominent sales and marketing role. I was proud to be a driving force in the company’s growth from a dozen employees to over 50. When I left, Arialink was Mid-Michigan’s largest provider of high speed fiber optic internet and phone service with over 600 miles of fiber connecting key businesses, local schools, and many government agencies. Arialink was purchased by Zayo in 2012.
