College for Social Innovation seeks to develop a diverse pool of leaders who effectively address the challenges facing humanity, at the local, national, and global level. To accomplish this we partner with existing colleges and universities to offer students more real-world relevant experiences through high quality, mentored, credit-bearing apprenticeships in nonprofit organizations.

The Pathways Fund is made possible through a partnership among Blue Ridge Foundation New York, JPMorgan Chase Foundation, Open Society Foundations, Robin Hood Foundation, SeaChange Capital Partners, and New Profit, and by a grant from the federal Social Innovation Fund, a special initiative within the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) designed to build the evidence base and grow the impact of nonprofit organizations across the country.Through the Pathways Fund, high-potential, youth development organizations will receive multi-year grants and technical assistance to help build their evidence base and grow their programs in areas of the U.S. where many of the greatest challenges in youth development exist. By supporting and growing a portfolio of innovative organizations that offer critical interventions for low-income youth, we seek to increase the impact of nonprofit organizations on the lives of low-income youth across the country, improving high school graduation rates, college enrollment and persistence, and access to jobs that pay a living wage.
