As a speaker, educator and author with more than 20 years of experience, I work with teenage girls and young adult women in a variety of standardized school settings as well as a private practice. Born from my experiences and knowledge, I recognized a pattern of cultural and social trends that had a profound effect on pre-teens and teens growing up in today's rapidly changing world, and the issues they face as they experience puberty, adolescence, and eventually adulthood. This led me to follow my passion of developing programs to help build awareness around the issues that significantly affect teen girls and women on a daily basis. I then took the leap and wrote a book called 101 Girl Tips that focuses on the challenges of relationships and friendships, mean girl aggression, social pressures, body image and body shaming, low self-esteem, academic pressures, college and career readiness, the impact of social media, and how girls can navigate these daily obstacles that confront them.Thus, the creation of REAL TeenTalk came about - an organization I founded to help teens and young adults navigate the challenges of adolescence and adulthood.Through many testimonials, I've been recognized for my approachable, warm and engaging demeanor when presenting in schools, workshops and classrooms. Described as a catalyst for helping young people develop empathy and compassion, I always look forward to bringing a fresh perspective on how this generation of teenagers and young adults need to slow down and "connect" without technology consuming their lives. This is the most crucial time ever, where students I work with need help in navigating their pressure-cooker world. This is my calling - to educate, empower and inspire tweens, teens, and young adults for positive change.
