I am passionate about applying computational methods to solve real-world problems. With Bachelor’s degrees in both Computer Science and Molecular Cell Biology from UC Berkeley (2022), my educational background provides a robust foundation for tackling complex challenges. My technical skills are further refined as I attain my MEng in Computer Science from Cornell. In my previous role as founder and software engineer at Empathie, I led the development of technology solutions that prioritized impact and practical value. This experience honed my ability to design and execute tech strategies that address real needs and deliver tangible benefits.Before founding Empathie, I gained valuable experience as a software engineering intern at Capital One. Additionally, my research work in genomics and computational biology at UC Berkeley and UC San Francisco led to enhancements in the Bayesian MCMC algorithm for phylogenetic inference.I have also been actively involved in the tech community, participating in several hackathons and winning Microsoft's Hack for Mental Health award in 2021 for creating a chatbot that provides emotional support to users. My journey continues as I seek to merge technology and practical application to create solutions that significantly improve lives.
