My responsibilities included month end closing of the accounts receivable book items, setting credit ratings for our customers, write off bad debts, risk analysis, management reporting, reminding customers of outstanding payments and royalty reports. My focus in this role was to optimize the credit management processes within Philips IP&S in order to reduce the time to receive overdue payments, and reduce the bad debt position. I initiated the project to build an online portal for our customers to make the payment process easier for them, more professional and at the same time automate some of our internal processes. This portal has successfully been launced and received by all stakeholders, as a result of the close cooperation between Credit Management, IT, the License Administration and IP value capturing colleagues. I won the Philips IP&S Award 2014, for my contribution to the success of Philips IP&S with Credit Management.
